About Me

My name is Kris, I’ve had a love for fishing since I was a kid.  When I was 6, I wrote my Christmas list to Santa with items listed from the Bass Pro and Cabela's catalog.  I was lucky to have a Dad and Step Dad that took me fishing all of the time!  I grew up fishing the Barnegat Bay area for fluke and snapper blues.  I bought my first boat when I was 12 and I never looked back.  25 years ago,  I moved back to North Jersey.  I began tournament fishing for Largemouth and Smallmouth bass with Bergen Bassmasters, but I still love saltwater fishing.

When I was 13, I took classes for my boating license, now I have a 25 Ton Master USCG Captain's license.  I'm also a guide for the Candlewood Fishing Camp.

In addition to fishing, I also love working with children of all ages. I graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Human Ecology with a concentration in Early and Middle Childhood Education. In 2004, I began teaching in Emerson, NJ. I currently teach Kindergarten, but have also been a Middle School Math and Science teacher. I also work in Emerson High School with a variety of sports.

I’m running a 18ft CC with top of the line electronics, Lowrance HSD 12 w/FFS, and Minn Kota Terrova Riptide with spot lock.

I'm running Striper charters out of Secaucus, NJ from early Fall through late Spring.  We will target fish from the marshes of the Meadowlands on the Hackensack River to New York Harbor.

Fish close to home in North Jersey.
